‘Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival’ set for 11-day run in 2022

It’s hard to believe how long it’s been since the inaugural Netflix Is a Joke Comedy Festival was first announced, but after more than a year and a half, it will get the chance to return before it even got here.

With an announcement on Monday (December 6), the streaming and subsequent comedy special giant has re-upped its titanic takeover of Los Angeles, with shows taking place in venues all over the city between Thursday, April 28 and Sunday, May 8. The 11-day run will feature a cavalcade of comedy’s biggest names in spaces of all sizes, with stand-up shows and special events featuring artists like Ali Wong, Amy Poehler, Amy Schumer, Aziz Ansari, Bert Kreischer, Bill Burr, Chelsea Handler, Chris Rock, Conan O’Brien, Cristela Alonzo, Dave Chappelle, David Letterman, Deon Cole, Eddie Izzard, Ellen DeGeneres, Felipe Esparza, Fortune Feimster, Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng, Iliza Shlesinger, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, Jerry Seinfeld, John Mulaney, Jonathan Van Ness, Ken Jeong, Kevin Hart, Kevin Smith, Larry David, Margaret Cho, Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, Michael McIntyre, Mike Birbiglia, Mike Myers and David O. Russell, Nick Kroll, Nicole Byer, Patton Oswalt, Pete Davidson, Ray Romano, Sandra Bernhard, Seth Rogen, Theo Von, Tig Notaro,Tim Robinson, Tina Fey, Wanda Sykes and more.

While there are plenty of shows to choose from, to say the least, a striking highlight in the festival’s schedule is Gabriel Iglesias’ next special taping, which will take place on Saturday, May 7 at Dodger Stadium, making it the largest stand-up special production in Netflix’s history.
