Editor’s Note: Virginia’s Turnover turned heads and minds last month when they released their fourth album, Altogether, continuing the Run For Cover Records’ band evolution of sound into more synthy, dream-pop arenas. We certainly adore it, and were excited to see the band play not one, but two shows in our town with the also excellent Montreal post-punk band Men I Trust and Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Renata Zeiguer. Last night (December 10) saw the first of those two shows, at Royale in Boston’s Theatre District, with things jumping the Charles this evening for round two at The Sinclair in Cambridge. Vanyaland’s John Hutchings was at Royale capturing images of the action, before the snow began to fall, and you can flip through his full gallery below.
