Photo Gallery: Ingrid Michaelson live in Boston

Ingrid Michaelson covering ’80s classics and performing synth infused versions of her own songs? We’ve seen stranger things. The indie pop songstress returned last night (October 22) to Boston’s House of Blues (a venue she’s visited six times in the last nine years) with her latest tour in support of her new album Stranger Songs. The record was inspired by the hit Netflix series Strangers Things and is full of references to everyone’s favorite binge watch. Her tour brings the theme of nostalgia to life by putting together a setlist that featured cover versions of ’80s hits such as “Time After Time” and “Material Girl” as well as new versions of some of her classic material re-imagined as if they were released in the ’80s. Michaelson and her backing band even dressed the part, donning ’80s attire on stage. For a look inside the Ingrid Michaelson version of the upside down, check out our gallery below.
