Editor's Note: One of our new favorite live music past times is watching musicians scale the balconies of The House of Blues during their performance. While this is no doubt frowned upon at the Boston venue, it seems to be happening with greater frequency. The dude from Foals pulled off this maneuver earlier this year, and on Friday night (October 4), it was Zakk Wylde's turn to get elevated on Lansdowne. Wylde was in town with Black Label Society, celebrating 20 years with their own Sonic Brew and enough shred to connect guitars from here to Los Angeles. The Black Dahlia Murder and Alien Weaponry joined in for this run, and María Alejandra Mata was in the room for Vanyaland capturing evidence of all three performances.
