Dorothy, Spirit Animal, and Carissa Johnson live at The Paradise

Photo Gallery: The Los Angeles rock and roll band brought some much-needed swagger and shine to Boston

Editor’s Note: There a few things we can all count on during winter in Boston: Snowstorms, people driving like assholes on icy roads, and Dorothy coming to town to deliver some sorely-needed rock and roll sunshine. And just how every blizzard is different and every driver skids out across Storrow Drive in their very own special way, each Dorothy show brings its own distinct flavor. Friday night (February 15) at The Paradise Rock Club was no different, as the Los Angeles rock band cruised into town with last year’s 28 Days in the Valley on lockdown and enough Swagger to fill the Pru. This show was a stacked one from start to finish, opening with homegrown product Carissa Johnson and The Cure-Alls and Brooklyn’s Spirit Animal setting the tone for Dorothy. Vanyaland’s Matthew Shelter was at the ‘Dise to capture snaps of it all, an you can scroll through his full gallery of the night’s action, in reverse order of appearance.
