Editor’s Note: This time of year, some people travel for the holidays. Others travel for rock and roll. On Tuesday night (December 18) a road trip-worthy show presented itself up in Lowell, as Atlanta’s Manchester Orchestra teamed with New Jersey’s The Front Bottoms for a co-headlining swing that brought a bell-rung rumble to the Tsongas Center. Manchester Orchestra were back in our area showing off last year’s wonderful LP A Black Mile to the Surface, while The Front Bottoms rolled through on the strength of spring EP Ann and the confidence of being one of the best live bands on the planet.
