Future Generations bring their young blood to Cambridge

When your band has a youthful name like Future Generations, you play with teenender at your Boston gig. It’s what you do (Future Teens would also have been an acceptable Massachusetts choice). On the heels of their new sophomore record Landscape, the fresh-faced Brooklyn group hit up The Middle East upstairs on Wednesday (October 24) with Zuli and teenender, slinging their blithe new bops. For those unfamiliar, the NYC group suggests their new title track as your best diving-in point. “It encompasses the idea of perseverance through uncertainty, old and new love, and just growing up,” Future Generations tell Vanyaland of “Landscape.” “It’s about being honest and coming to terms with the difficulties of life and making the best out of it.” Peep the tune below before the Central Square gig.
