Editors bask in the desolate comfort of the 'Cold' outside

In the last week the temperature around Boston went from 85 to 55 like it saw a State Trooper on the Mass Pike, but we around New England aren’t afraid of the “Cold”. That’s why we’re so welcoming of this new Editors video, which visualizes the latest single from the British band’s March album Violence. The desolate clip was shot in Iceland, stars American ballet dancer Drew Jacoby, and is directed by acclaimed Dutch artist Rahi Rezvani. Editors frontman Tom Smith says “Cold” is about “the comfort and connection still found in a dying relationship. A break up song of two people not wanting to give up on the relationship.” That sums up our relationship with Editors, as well, which began with a passionate love over 2005 debut LP The Back Room and has seen its shares of ups and downs since then. For this moment, at least, the “Cold” burns with a mighty passion.
