Deafheaven recently rolled through town on one of the more inspired tours we’ve experienced in some time, crushing Royale in Boston with Drab Majesty and Uniform in tow. Now the California-born metal band have teamed up with another Vanyaland fave, Chelsea Wolfe, on the video for atmospheric dirge “Night People.” The track is taken off Deafheaven’s recent Anti- Records album Ordinary Human Corrupt Love, and the Ben Chisholm-directed video finds Wolfe and frontman George Clarke in a spooky bout of face-off. It made taking a screen grab for the lead image all sorts of fun! Deafheaven’s North American tour wraps later this month, but after a Euro jaunt they are back in our area this fall with DIIV, and while there’s no Boston show, the tour does hit 3S Artspace in Portsmouth on November 1 and Providence’s Fête Ballroom the following night.
