Soccer Mommy stays busy with new video and fresh batch of live dates

A soccer mom is usually busy. Soccer Mommy seems even busier. The guitar-rock project from Nashville’s Sophie Allison unveiled a bunch of stuff this week, including a new video for “Scorpio Rising”, tour dates next year supporting Kacey Musgraves, and her own string of headlining shows that brings the singer-songwriter to Brighton Music Hall on December 7. “I wanted the video for ‘Scorpio Rising’ to be a bit celestial,” says Allison, via p4k. “The whole idea of laying out in a park in the middle of the summer while looking at the stars holds a significance to me, so I wanted to capture that feeling. I think there’s also a sense of isolation shown in the video that reflects both the song and the headspace I was in while writing Clean.” Clean refers to her March LP, but you knew that because you haven’t stopped listening to it since.
