Florence + the Machine unleash a feeding frenzy in ‘Hunger’

Since the end of the How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful era, fans of Florence + the Machine have been salivating for more from the English indie pop outfit. And as of today (May 3), it’s feeding time. The has band has released “Hunger,” the first single from their forthcoming album High As Hope, due out June 29, complete with an artful music video from A.G. Rojas. According to Welch, she’s stripping down emotionally more than ever before. “This song is about the ways we look for love in things that are perhaps not love, and how attempts to feel less alone can sometimes isolate us more,” she says. “I guess I made myself more vulnerable in this song to encourage connection, because perhaps a lot more of us feel this way than we are able to admit. Sometimes when you can’t say it, you can sing it.” Featured image via screengrab.
