Miles Kane teams with Lana Del Rey & Jamie T on glossy single ‘Loaded’

Even as he released one of the finest solo records of the fucking decade in 2011’s Colour Of The Trap, Miles Kane is no stranger to collaboration. The British musician is perhaps best known for his work with Alex Turner in The Last Shadow Puppets, but now he’s showing off some flash with two new collaborators in Lana Del Rey and Jamie T.

The trio assemble in glorious, glam-kissed ways on Kane’s glossy new single “Loaded,” which was premiered Monday (April 16) on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.

“Last January, Jamie T was in L.A. doing a little gig and we’d planned to some writing together that we’d been saying we’d do for 10 years,” Kane tells Mac, via The NME. “As I walked in [to the gig], Lana Del Rey was there.”

So LA!

Kane and Del Rey chatted, he says, and the next day asked if she could join their writing session. “We were like, ‘This is mental’… So she came over,” Kane continues, “and we finished writing ‘Loaded’ in that afternoon. There was a lot of tunes that were written in that time, but this one’s stuck around.”

Never short on confidence, Kane adds: “It’s the perfect tune, I think. It’s got it all for me.”

This new joint will be featured on Kane’s forthcoming album, Coup De Grace. Preview the song below, and listen to Kane’s chat with Mac below.
