Women’s Marches are taking place across the country today (January 20), and one of the empowering messages delivered came from pop star Halsey. The New Jersey native, who last weekend performed on Saturday Night Live, took the podium at the March in New York City earlier this afternoon and dropped a five minute speech in the form of a very personal and moving poem.
“This is the beginning, not the finale,” she says towards the end, “and that’s why we’re here, that’s why we rally.”
