Never mind the holiday season, it’s time to cue the bagpipes: Quincy punks Dropkick Murphys have announced their plans for St. Patrick’s Day weekend 2018. And some longtime friends are in tow.

After a full year of touring in 2017, which included two full national treks alongside bands like ska up-and-comers The Interrupters and punk legends Rancid, the Celtic punk bamd will continue the pattern of bringing punk lifers along with them on the road. This time around, it’ll be Agnostic Front and Bim Skala Bim providing support for their entire upcoming tour, which begins on February 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.

After a handful of dates in the northeast, as well as few that reach as far as Alabama and Oklahoma City, the Dropkicks will then prepare for their annual homecoming, which will take the form of a four-night House of Blues residency to conclude the tour, free of any double-show dates this time around, running from Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, March 18.

The show on St. Patrick’s Day will be a matinee beginning at noon, in order to facilitate the after-party which will include a night of boxing, another tradition that has been intertwined with the highly-anticipated festivities, as well as a short acoustic set from the band. Only 1,000 tickets will be made available for purchase to the after-party at House of Blues.

There are still special guests TBD for the Lansdowne shows, with Agnostic Front and Bim Skala Bim alternating appearances. While there is no timetable as to when the remaining special guests will be announced, tickets go on sale this Friday (December 8) at 10 a.m. EST, with a pre-sale launching on Thursday (December 7) at 10 a.m., using the code MYSONG to purchase tickets.
