Will Butler is presenting a Disco Town Hall in Allston after Arcade Fire’s Boston show

Arcade Fire’s Friday night show at TD Garden should be a pretty fun party. Later that night in Allston, Will Butler is presenting another good time in a much more intimate environment, and it’s for a good cause.

Butler’s presenting what’s being billed as a Disco Town Hall at Great Scott, and it looks like a suitable afterparty that will also raise money and awareness for appropriate causes because it’s 2017 and there’s a lot of work to be done on many fronts.

Here’s the event description from the Facebook page: “Disco Town Hall is a series presented by Will Butler of Arcade Fire which will engage Arcade Fire fans (and others!) with local organizations, activists, and politicians engaged in helping the vulnerable and empowering communities. There will also be music and dancing. Because that’s important too. In partnership with Plus1, $1 from every ticket will go to Partners In Health.”

Doors are at 11 p.m., and it runs until 2 a.m., so there’s plenty of time to take the Green Line or an Uber over to Great Scott after the arena gig. And if Butler’s there, we’d imagine some of the other Arcade Fire members might be hanging out at the bar or the dance floor as well.

Tickets are just $5 and you can score some in advance here.
