What Studio 52 Says: I remember watching Boston music veterans Lannen Fall play my local teen center when I was in high school. Their music illustrated the age I was at — a model of pop-punk my friends and I could sing in the car driving around town. As I aged and matured, so did Lannen Fall. Dropping the latter part of their name a few years back, I was ecstatic to see Lannen among Studio 52 inhabitants when I became an employee. They’ve definitely solidified their sound since I was younger; eeking out the pop-punk aspects of their songs and adding more indie elements along with their original bursting choruses that have me singing along again. Next Friday (June 9), Lannen releases their much anticipated album Anchor & Chain. The night before (Thursday, June 8), they’re celebrating the record with a live stream and acoustic set at Night Shift Brewing in Everett’s superb Fermentation District (87 Santilli Way), the latest in Night Shift’s “Fresh Cuts” series. — Andrew Maroney, Operations Manager, Studio 52
