New York guitar rock band Charly Bliss just played Cambridge last month, part of their tour with Tokyo Police Club, but fear not — they’ll be back soon enough.
Accompanying news that the quartet have teamed with Barsuk Records to release debut album Guppy on April 21 are two main points of interest: one, the insanely catchy bubblegrunge single “Glitter”, which you can listen to now and for forever below; and two, a 30-date spring tour that comes to Brighton Music Hall in Allston on April 3.
“Glitter” is really something else, and already has earned a place on our early Best of 2017 lists alongside equally-excellent efforts from Diet Cig and Me Not You. Absorb it with your ears and brains as you scan the Team Bliss’ full tour dates, which include a stop at SXSW in Austin next month. If you’re headed the Texas capital that glorious week of March, Charly Bliss immediately become a band not to miss.
