Every year there’s at least one tour where the term “stacked” doesn’t do it justice. It’s a back-to-back-to-back musical onslaught that makes showing up late a grave and unforgivable sin. A type of tour like this showcases the similarities between each act while celebrating their artistic differences. The end result is an electrifying experience that excites the senses and leaves fans with their minds blown. One such of those tours is happening in May, as rock and roll groove masters Clutch headline an seven-date run with whiskey-rock act Lucero and vintage metal gods The Sword.
“We did a whole bunch of touring in 2016,” writes Clutch frontman Neil Fallon on the band’s Facebook page. “Right now, we’re cooling our heels and starting to kick around some riffs for the next record. We hope to be recording the LP come the end of the year. Where and with whom is yet to be determined. At the moment though, we’re really just at the beginning phase of writing and we already have a surplus of ideas.”
Thankfully for us here in New England, this trinity of rock will be taking the stage at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence on May 16. Check out all eight tour dates below, feel badly for the cities that got left out, and make sure you head to at least one of the shows.
