Now that the dust has settled a bit on all the big-ticket music festival lineup unveilings, the South Shore’s annual Levitate Music & Arts Festival is here with a presentation just as impressive.
Headlining the two-day July 8 and 9 campground party at the Marshfield Fairgrounds are Dispatch, Ziggy Marley, and Umphrey’s McGee.
But we’re all about this alleged undercard (and we use the term “undercard” lightly): Lake Street Dive, Deer Tick, The Ghost of Paul Revere, Twiddle, and Ripe are an impressive New England haul, and they’ll join Stick Figure, The Revivalists, JJ Grey & Mofro, Trevor Hall, Rubblebucket, Rebirth Brass Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and others.
Early bird tickets are on sale now, and they run from $99 for a two-day pass to a $359 VIP package. Individual day tickets are expected to go on sale at a later date, once the day lineups are announced — but there’s always the risk of this thing selling out before it ever gets to that stage.
