Take A Load Off, Cubbies: Eddie Vedder, Derek Trucks and Bill Murray cover ‘The Weight’ at a house party

How relieved were Chicago Cubs fans after their team won Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night? So much so that a couple of the more famous faces went to an afterparty in Wrigleyville and busted out a cover of the Band’s song “The Weight.”

In a video posted Tuesday afternoon by Pearl Jam Radio, “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” singer and lively Cubs mascot Eddie Vedder sat in with Derek Trucks to jam out a spirited rendition of the 1968 classic at what appears to be a house party — and Bill Murray even gets involved, leading some gang vocals midway through.

Take a load off Cubbies — you live to battle on.

Game 6 of the World Series resumes tonight in Cleveland. We don’t care who wins.
