Hold on to summer forever with this sweet new dance-pop jam from Lowell’s Tryptaze

Everyone has spent the past several months searching for the vaunted Song of the Summer 2k16, and typically enough, perhaps the finest entry has arrived on the very last fucking day of the season

It comes from a young Lowell duo called Tryptaze, and the song in question is a cut called “Just Like Alice”. The blippy electronic-pop track hits a nice sweet spot between the pulsating thump of Justice and the pop smarts of Passion Pit, and while we don’t know too much about the duo that bills themselves as BryRo and WisCa, we have a sneaking suspicion we’ll be hearing more from them.

Shit, just this past weekend they played their debut show at UnchARTed in Lowell — a city that has given Boston a decent handful of electronic minded acts of the years, like Bearstronaut PVRIS, and Western Education. The “Just Like Alice” video, directed by Navarre Williams and Isaiah Gandia, dropped earlier in the week, and Lowell-based producer D-Tension was quick to send it our way.

We’re glad he did.

Get into it below before the clock strikes midnight.
