In a divine gift from the ’90s alt-rock mixtape gods, Helmet and Local H are touring together this fall. So if you once put “Milquetoast” next to “Bound For The Floor” on a cassette mix back in ’96 or so, you might want to sit down.
The bands will hit the road in November and December, closing out the year with a coast-to-coast trek in support of Helmet’s new album, Dead To The World. The Helmet record, the band’s first in six years, is out October 28, and the tour rolls through Boston on November 10 with a show at Brighton Music Hall in Allston. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, with a special fan pre-sale opening Thursday at 10 a.m. via Music Glue.
To celebrate the album and tour, Page Hamilton has relayed the following message.
“Catch phrases, punchlines, guns, bluster, ammo, incivility, impatience, murder. You, me, us, them, life, liberty and the pursuit of property.
