Aaaaaaaaand sometimes it’s a lazy Tuesday afternoon and you’re scrolling through Instagram pics and you suddenly see a photo posted by Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz on stage at the Echoplex with Shamir joining in on vocals. And in the caption she’s all like “can we please always have @shamir326 singing with us” and you kinda freak out.
The Las Vegas-born singer/songwriter, who broke out in a big way last year with Capital-J Jam “On The Regular”, apparently joined the Massachusetts-born guitar rock band, at least for a bit, Sunday night in Los Angeles. Now, it’s still fairly early out on the West Coast, but we were able to find some live clips of our favorite new supergroup, including an all-too-short 30 second clip of everybody rocking out on “Puffer.”
Let’s hope more video and photos surface soon, because this is one collaboration we can really get behind. We’re 3,000 miles away and kind of hyperventilating.
