Editor’s Note: Saturday was a scorcher. The second day and night of Boston Calling Music Festival was a mid-summer sweatbox in the concrete microwave of City Hall Plaza. Luckily for all in attendance, the music was chill as fuck. Vanyaland’s Eddy Leiva legged it out across all 11 hours of performances on what was a truly eclectic day of sound. Read Barry Thompson’s afternoon mid-day recap, get caught up on Night 1, and stay tuned for our Saturday night review, coming soon. Scan below for visuals on all of Saturday’s performances, including, in reverse order: Palehound (interview), Lizzo, Battles, The Vaccines, Nemes (interview), BORNS, Courtney Barnett (interview), City And Colour, Miike Snow, Lady Pills, Odesza, and Robyn. See you out there for Sunday’s party.
