Listen to Kathleen Hanna’s bratty cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Dancing In The Dark’

Last month marked the one-year anniversary of Riot Grrrl Day in Boston, a declaration marked by Kathleen Hanna’s April lecture at the Wilbur Theatre. We still need Hanna more than ever, and this week the Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, and Julie Ruin ass-kicker provided a pretty great cover of Bruce Springsteen’s classic ’80s pop jam “Dancing In The Dark”.

On the bratty, acoustic track, Hanna teams up with actor/musician Tommy Buck, who provides a nice delivery of “fiy-yah!”, and we’re told it will appear on an upcoming film called Maggie’s Plan. The movie stars Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke, and others.

Watch the trailer for it after you’ve listen to Hanna’s “Dancing In The Dark” a million times over.
