All Aboard The Full Boats: 2016 Rock And Roll Rumble revs into high gear

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Perhaps the best part of the Rock And Roll Rumble is the everynight-ness of it, the random-ness of it, the all-of-it-all-at-once-ness of it. Twenty-four bands throwing down over six preliminary nights, four-band bills randomly-assigned featuring various styles and sounds, and the Boston music scene all under one roof. It's a festival under the friendly guise of competition.

A few weeks ago we relayed news that the 2016 Rumble would relocate to ONCE Ballroom and Lounge in Somerville after the closing of Cambridge's T.T. The Bear's Place. Coming up soon will be the band announcements via curator Anngelle Wood on WZLX's Boston Emissions. That leaves this warm middle center, which provides the best opportunity to get in on the everynight-ness of it all: With a Full Boat pass.

Full Boat passes go on sale this Monday, February 22, via Ticketfly and ONCE. It gets you entry into all nine Rumble nights -- the April 3, 4, 5 and 7, 8, 9 preliminary nights, the April 15 and 16 semi-finals, and the April 26 final -- for a discounted rate. Full Boat passes are priced at $80 -- a $21 savings of pre-sale price, and a savings of $66 off day-of-show cost.

Last year's Rumble was won by Zip-Tie Handcuffs. Revisit the memories of the finale via the photo gallery below, by Derek Kouyoumjian for Vanyaland, and get full visual details (so far) of this year's Rumble via the Daykamp Creative flyer after the jump.
