This year’s showcase, Friday, October 16 at Carroll Place in New York City (157 Bleecker St.), features an eclectic mix of sounds from Berklee students and alumni, from electronic pop (Lili N, mar | co), indie folk (Honeysuckle, Covey), and anything that could possibly fall under rock (Eternals, Oh Malô, You Bred Raptors?). It’s presented by Berklee College of Music, Heavy Rotation Records (HRR), the Red Room at Cafe 939, and Vanyaland, with VanyaRadio broadcasting from the event.
Some extra fine print from Berklee HQ: “The event includes free raffles for a chance to win a badge to attend next year’s CMJ Music Marathon. Free copies of HRR’s latest album, Dorm Sessions 10, featuring showcase artists Oh Malô, will also be given away. The 18+ showcase is free for CMJ badge holders and $10 for the public. Members of the press can RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.”
