From The Mezzanine: Massive Attack announce 2016 European tour to showcase new music


Influential trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack have outlined an early 2016 tour of Europe, in which the British electronic group will showcase new material.

The duo’s new album, their first since 2009’s Heligoland, could arrive before the tour, according to reports. Pitchfork writes this morning that details on new music will be revealed “soon.”

Meanwhile, Massive Attack’s winter tour includes a New Year’s Day gig in Ireland before picking up January 22 in Scotland. After routing around the United Kingdom and parts of Europe, it concludes February 26 in France, with Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers on board as support.
