Like Happiness: The Maccabees announce North American tour, play Allston in October

London rock quintet the Maccabees have surrounded their autumn appearance at Austin City Limits with a string of North American tour dates, including an October 16 show at Great Scott in Allston.

Orlando Weeks and the boys are on this side of the pond to promote new record Marks To Prove It (Fiction/Communion Records), which dropped last month and topped the charts in their native United Kingdom. In addition to the title track, standout single “Something Like Happiness” has been featured heavily recently on VanyaRadio.

The Maccabees’ stateside run kicks off at Austin City Limits on October 2 before making stops in Mexico City and Los Angeles before returning to Texas for the festival’s second weekend. After their live dues are paid in Austin, the tour proceeds along a line of National Hockey League routing to Boston, Philly, Columbus, Chicago, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
