Utter Nun-Sense: Watch Billy Corgan and Marilyn Manson play dress up and duet on ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’

The Marilyn Manson-Smashing Pumpkins End Times tour rolled through Boston earlier this summer, and it was a pretty good show: Manson seemed more enthused and animated than he did during a blizzard-affected show in town a few months ago, and the Pumpkins sounded as good as they have in years, bolstered by the return of drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and touring bassist Jack Bates, son of Joy Division/New Order founder Peter Hook.

But what we didn’t get at the Pavilion was any sort of collaboration between Manson and Billy Corgan, which was a shame. Nashville got treated to such a spectacle, and it was better than the two trading verses of “Disarm” or some shit (which would be amazing, btw): They got up on that podium during Manson’s Satanic Preacher segment, Corgan dressed as a nun, and closed out ““Antichrist Superstar” with a (perhaps?) impromptu kinda-sorta rendition Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

They even changed the lyrics to fit the nun vibe. Good times.
