Mine Is Ours: Cold War Kids, BØRNS, Coleman Hell, and Public Alley lead WBRU Birthday Bash

This past Tuesday, Brown University affiliated alt-rock radio station 95.5 WBRU announced that it will once again be celebrating their annual Birthday Bash at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel, this time going down October 22. WBRU turns another year older in style, enlisting indie rock veterans Cold War Kids, glam pop artist BØRNS, soul-pop singer songwriter Coleman Hell, and 2015 WBRU Rock Hunt winners Public Alley. Starting today at noon, head down to 79 Washington St. in the heart of Providence and grab a pair of tickets at the Lupo’s box office to see one of the coolest shows happening in the city this Fall.

And consider this our Public Service Announcement: It’s highly suggested you plan accordingly and pick up a pair before they sell out. Knowing previous Birthday Bashes, these little slips of paper will be going fast. It’s a pretty cool lineup, to say the least, so you’re guaranteed to have a swell time when the leaves change later this year

For a sneak peek at one of the bands performing, Public Alley will be at Waterplace Park as part of the Friday Night Concert Series with fellow youngins S. Walcott on July 24 for what should be a great look at the future of the Rhode Island music scene.

Here’s a preview of this year’s participants:
