New York rock dudes LVL UP have been slowly building a cult following in their home state and all around New England, and now the band is set to take their melancholic guitar-pop to the masses across the country. This week LVL UP announced a 23-date coast-to-coast tour that kicks off July 21 in Pittsburgh and wraps up August 17 in New York, but not before one killer Boston show August 16 at Royale with Basement, Adventures, and Palehound.
That’s a long way from the DIY shows that helped build LVL UP’s cred around town, but it’s a room that should embrace the band’s sound quite nicely. The tour is a continuation of in support of last year’s widely praised Hoodwink’d, released via Double Double Whammy and Exploding in Sound, and the run includes dates with The Sidekicks, Glocca Morra, The Front Bottoms, Big Ups, Upset, and Basement.
