We Have Liftoff: Listen to Shura’s magnetic new seven-minute dance-pop single, ‘White Light’

We don’t have any inside information here, but we feel like we’re on the verge of getting some Shura news on this side of the Atlantic. Namely, some North American tour dates.

We hope.

Meanwhile, to hold us over we have “White Light,” a smooth, surprise new track from the London-based electronic pop singer that just dropped on Soundcloud this afternoon after Annie Mac premiered it on BBC Radio 1. Clocking in at more than seven minutes long, it’s another blissful alt-pop track with roots in both house music and electro-pop, a composite sound that’s helping cement Shura as one of the brightest voices in dance music. It seems like the next step is FM domination.

Back at SXSW, she was one of the artists that caught our attention the most in a sea of sound-alikes — not to mention that killer Fine Young Cannibals cover — and her recent singles like “2Shy” and “Indecision” have been standards on VanyaRadio’s daily playlists. We’re pretty certain “White Light” will be added as well.

Hopefully we get some tour news soon.
