One For Another: Listen to a soon-to-expire new single from Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess

The Charlatans UK may be forever, but not all Tim Burgess solo material is awarded the same shelf life. Today the British musician posted a new solo track titled “In May”, but warned that the song may only be on Bandcamp for a limited time.

“I’m leaving this NEW song on bandcamp for a week,” he tweeted a few hours ago. He also revealed over that he recorded the gentle, ballad-like track as a present to himself for his 48th birthday, which he celebrated on May 30.

It’s available to stream or purchase via the link below.

Burgess’ last solo album, Oh No I Love You, was released in 2012. But he and the Charlatans have a busy summer ahead, including appearances at the UK’s Isle of Wright Festival (June 14) and V Festival (August 22 and 23). The enduring British rock band also makes a rare stateside appearance at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Festival on August 11.

Maybe we’ll get a few East Coast dates around then as well. Check the Charlatans’ full run of summer dates after the Bandcamp.
