Best Cathouse In Town: Look at this batshit insane hair metal festival lineup

Riki Rachtman is bringing back the best Cathouse in town.

The former Headbanger’s Ball host is resurrecting the spirit of his late-’80s Hollywood nightclub with Cathouse Live, a hit metal music festival that’s bound to be one awesome shitshow. Appearing at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in California on August 15 are Extreme, Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Dokken, Faster Pussycat, Saigon Kick, Stephen Pearcy (formerly of Ratt), Gilby Clarke, Dangerous Toys, L.A. Guns and Tracii Guns (separately), Trixter, Junkyard, Bulletboys, Bang Tango, Little Caesar, Tuff (Tuff!!!), Pretty Boy Floyd, and more.

Shit, even Enuff Z’Nuff got invited.

“I recently started a Cathouse Hollywood Facebook page and everyone was asking, ‘Why don’t you do another Cathouse?'” says Rachtman in a presser, via Blabbermouth. “I loved the idea and mentioned it on Twitter. So many bands told me that they wanted to be a part of it that I knew that I had to bring it back on a much larger scale. It was too big for a club, so we decided to do a festival.”

He adds: “The music scene isn’t what it was like back then — that type of decadence. We’re going to bring the debauchery of the Cathouse back to Southern California! SoCal needs this kind of rock festival so people will have the chance to go out, have fun and enjoy a great rock show in all its excess.”

It’s time to give the people what they want.

“Cathouse was a very successful weekly nightclub for six years, so we’re trying to pack all those years of Cathouse into one night for Cathouse Live,” says Rachtman. “All I want is for those who go to have a good time and say, ‘That was the BEST ROCK FESTIVAL EVER.'”

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. PT via cathouselive.com, and start at $15. There are also various meet-and-greet and VIP packages, which can be found on the Cathouse Live homepage.
