Friday Night Dance Party: Enter VÉRITÉ’s electro-pop ‘Wasteland’ [ticket giveaway]

Verite

If we had any regrets last week at South by Southwest — at least any we’d share with the general public — it’s that we didn’t catch up with Brooklyn synthstress VÉRITÉ. Since she helped launch our V:Music series back in November, the electronic pop performer dropped a new disco bombshell of a single in “Wasteland,” showing the bright strobes of brilliance on the Echo EP were no flashes in the night.

Tonight VÉRITÉ rolls back into town, playing Great Scott in Allston, and her kaleidoscopic electro-pop will no doubt pull the ghosts of the Pill dance party back out from the shadows. If you want to get on the guest list and party like it’s the late-2000s, shoot an email to info@vanyaland.com with “VÉRITÉ” in the subject line, and we’ll pick two winners at random around 3 p.m. today, good for the winner and a +1 each.

Boston’s alt-pop melody factory Night Lights, who performed at our SXSW party and are in the running to play Bonnarro later this summer, are also on the bill, so get there early.

Listen to “Wasteland” down below, and let the Friday night dance lights start flashing in your head once more.
