Governors Ball 2015 lineup announced: The Black Keys, Deadmau5, Bjork, Charli XCX on board

Yesterday afternoon, California’s Coachella Music & Arts Festival announced its 2015 lineup, and the internet went batshit crazy. This morning, New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival responded with its own 2015 lineup, and the debate is on over which coast is festival king in 2015.

Your move, Boston Calling.

While we await for news of our own bi-annual music festival, we have to admit that the June 5 to 7 Governors Ball is a nice — and closer, cheaper, whatever’er — alternative to Coachella. Both have some overlap (Drake, Florence & the Machine, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala), but the Randall’s Island fest has some artists that definitely caught our eye: namely Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Björk, and Deadmau5.
