Friday On My Mind: Britpop Social Club spins the hits at the ICA’s British Invasion party

Tonight we got Friday on our mind, and we’re taking the party to the Institute of Contemporary Art to spin the beats and treats at its First Fridays “British Invasion” event. The night will showcase the 2014 British Arrows — dubbed “a saucy celebration of all things creative and cool in UK commercials — as well as spotlight discussions, photo boothing, and relevant cocktail toasting.

DJ Michael V and Lady K of Britpop Social Club will provide the soundtrack, expanding their Cool Britannia core in both directions on the cultural timeline, adding a bit of ’60s rock/soul and post-millennial modern indie to the playlist.

Tickets are $15 — but free to ICA members — and more information is available here. Scan down below for the evening’s full agenda. As we used to say during the pill’s glory days, “Look sharp!”
