Allston Calling: Do617 announces fall ‘Last Call’ with Bearstronaut, Electric Youth, Cymbals Eat Guitars

Since its start back in April, Do617’s Last Call series at Brighton Music Hall has been a free monthly showcase of some of the best bands in Boston. Now it’s ready to start showcasing some sounds from other towns.

Homegrown electronic pop gents Bearstronaut and Party Bois bring the dance party to Last Call on Saturday, October 18 — which is free with your RSVP — but after that its two back-to-back shows starring some of our favorite rising artists rolling through town on their current tours.

November 15 features Drive soundtrack starlets Electric Youth, who hooked up with French producer College for the film’s theme, “A Real Hero.” The Toronto electro-pop duo of Austin Garrick and Bronwyn Griffin are in town to hype their latest record Innerworld, and they’ll be joined by Los Angeles duo Midnight Faces. It’s an 11pm late show with a $12 advance ticket. Here’s the Do617 event page.

On December 13 we get our holiday vibes on with New York indie dudes Cymbals Eat Guitars, hyping their summer record Lose, and fast-riser Alex G. Like the previous month’s Last Call, this is also an 11pm late show and runs a very manageable $12 to party (you’ve paid more to do less). Here’s the Do617 event page.

All shows are co-presented by Budweiser Black Crown. Here’s a taste of the tunes with the calendar flyer wrapping things up.
