Allston is still smoldering from Ty Segall’s blistering club show at Great Scott last weekend, but fans in Chicago were treated to something really cool: the California musician’s band tore through a David Bowie medley on stage at Thalia Hall Tuesday night.
It also just happened to be David Bowie Day in Chicago, as SPIN points out. The city’s Museum of Contemporary Art opened its David Bowie Is exhibition earlier in the day, and it seems Segall and crew were in the mood of some tunes.
They busted out parts of “Ziggy Stardust,” “Suffragette City,” and “Queen Bitch,” and the magic was captured by fan video below.
And yes, Boston is still waiting for its very own David Bowie Day.
