Anyone that’s walked past Vanya HQ in the last month or so has heard us humming along to Broncho’s “Class Historian,” one of the catchiest fucking songs of 2014. We’re literally bouncing off the walls singing that “da-da-da” part on repeat, and the office cat is starting to get annoyed. Luckily, we have a new jam out this week from the Oklahoma rock band, and it’s already arm-wrestling “Class Historian” for a permanent residence between our ear holes.
That track, “What,” take a more leisurely, jangle-pop approach, and sometimes you just need a chill beach day soundtrack. Here it is.
Both tracks are shaping up Broncho’s new LP, Just Enough Hip To Be Woman, out September 16 on Dine Alone Records. The following day, they play Great Scott in Allston on a Vanyaland Presents bill. It’s going to be a party.
