We’ve been fans of the Box Tiger ever since the Maine/Toronto band came down to Boston last spring and stuck “Knives” in our heads. So we’re psyched to see the band named to Boston Calling later this month, winning the SonicBids competition that last year brought Viva Viva and Royal Teeth to the City Hall Plaza music festival.
The Box Tiger will open Sunday’s slate, on May 25, joining another tiger band in Boston’s Tigerman WOAH and warming things up for Tegan & Sara, Built To Spill, Bastille, Modest Mouse, and Brand New.
