Hang With Them: Here’s what to expect when Robyn + Röyksopp come to Boston this summer

Robyn and Röyksopp are hitting the road together this summer, hooking up for the “Do It Again” tour that bounces back and forth between Europe and the United States before rolling up to Boston shores for an August 22 date at the freshly-renamed Blue Hills Bank Pavilion (you know, the fancy tent by the water).

Tickets to that show went on sale last week, and in case we needed any further reassurance that we won’t be dancing on our own this year, the Swedish trio yesterday released a new promo video to get us all worked up.

Check out the clip up top, some tour dates way down below, and some press release statements from our beloved Dancehall Queen and Svein Berge from the ‘Sopp.

Says Robyn:

‘We’ve done shows together here and there and it’s a pleasure to be on tour with Svein & Torbjørn. I can’t say much about my set right now — I’m working on a lot of music at the moment and whatever is finished might be something I put into the set list. As usual I just hope people want to dance. I see pink lasers.” (Robyn)

Says Svein Berge of Röyksopp

“This Summer we will be teaming up with the amazing Robyn to partake in a series of concerts throughout the world. Performing together is something we’ve occasionally done in the past – all to such merriment and exuberance, that we’ve decided to reunite and ‘Do It Again’ in 2014. Each of these events will consist of a Robyn-part, a Röyksopp-part and of course a joined Robyn+Röyksopp-part — all wrapped up in lights ‘n’ smoke and tons of joy. To say we’re excited, is an understatement.”

The trio are building on a wonderful relationship we first caught wind of when they collaborated on Robyn’s 2010 track “None Of Dem.”
