Crimson & Cobain: Will Joan Jett sing with Nirvana at their Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction?

Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday, but unlike fellow nominees KISS and Hall & Oates, the Seattle band will be missing one vital voice: the late Kurt Cobain, who killed himself 20 years ago this past Saturday. Obvi.

According to Loudwire, Rock And Roll Hall of Fame CEO Joel Peresman said that “[w]ith the exception of Linda Ronstadt and KISS, everyone is performing.” That also includes Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, and the E Street Band.

So, this leads to the obvious question — who will front Nirvana? Dave Grohl? Courtney Love? Peter Gabriel pulling double duty for a very interesting “Drain You”?

Earlier today, however, the Foo Fighters’ Facebook page offered one intriguing clue: a photo of Grohl’s drumkit, Krist Novoselic’s bass, Pat Smear’s guitar, and… whoa is that Joan Jett’s signature Gibson Melody Maker?!?

There was no text with the photo, so it’s up to us to assume. But let’s do some photo matching shall we?

Seems legit.

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time the Foo and Jett have jammed out together. Watch them below performing at Madison Square Garden in 2011…
