Got word tonight that New York musician Christo Buffam has passed away. Buffam played guitar in neo-psych bands the Vandelles, Dead Leaf Echo, Sanguine Drone, and others, and attended Boston University. He was from Wilton, Connecticut.
No cause of death has been made public as of post time.
In addition to the Boston-based Sanguine Drone, Buffam played on many Massachusetts stages with his New York bands, including multiple stints at the Deep Heaven Now festivals in Somerville.
We’ll pass along more new as we get it, but first, we offer our thoughts to his friends and family, and will remember him with his music.
