The evolution of Vanyaland just got a little louder.
Welcome to Boston’s newest Player around town — where thousands of songs are at the click of your fingers. Vanyaland’s V:Player is a one-stop for new music, both local and global, taking the best new sounds from around the world and filtering them through the pages of our online music magazine.
While there are an infinite potential number of channels, we’re launching this week with a basic six: Indie, Rock, EDM, Pop, Hip-Hop/R&B, and Boston. That last one is an extension of my Boston Accents radio show on WFNX, and will highlight the best new sounds emerging out of New England.

In addition to the channels, we’re also spotlighting our favorite new artists — check out London Grammar, Sonic Avenues, and Strange Talk — as well as soundtracking every venue in town, with a playlist of the best bands playing that particular club each month. Up first: Great Scott, T.T. The Bear’s Place, and the Paradise Rock Club. Get the info for each room in town, as well as their sound.
Those are just a few of the many options we’ll be rolling out in the next few months.
The V:Player is the next step in radio — a station you control.
