Jarvis Cocker, Roger Daltrey, Bernard Sumner lend designs to Ben Sherman’s Icons collection

2013 marks 50 years of British style and culture courtesy of Ben Sherman, and the famed menswear label is celebrating its rich musical history with the new Icons collection. For $195 USD, fans of the Who, New Order, and Pulp can buy shirts emblazoned with the iconography of Roger Daltrey, Bernard Sumner, or Jarvis Cocker.

Daltrey’s shirt pays homage to his Union Jack jacket. Sumner’s is a simple black button down with the dog symbol from the “Ceremony” single on the breast pocket. Cocker’s shirt, however, stands out as the most clever of them all: it’s a blue button down with NHS glasses and office supplies on the breast pocket.

Good work, Ben Sherman – but I am still mad at you for axing your women’s line back in 2010!

If music isn’t your thing, the icons collection also features shirts inspired by pop artists Jake & Dino and Pete Blake. The Icons Collection is available in stores and online, but act quick – each shirt is limited to 250 per design. All proceeds benefit the UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust.

No word on whether they’ll be available at Ben Sherman’s Back Bay location at 154 Newbury St.
