Listen to ‘Your Girl,’ the debut EP from Confessions; record release 07.26.13 @ the pill

The Vanya family runs deep and has many different facets all under one sunny Allston roof, and one of our first-born was the independent record label. After five vinyl and digital releases since September 2011 from the likes of the New Highway Hymnal, Bearstronaut, and Andre Obin, Vanya Records is excited to drop its sixth release, Confessions’ Your Girl EP, a week from today, July 23. The record-release party for this digital and 12-inch vinyl EP goes down on July 26 at the pill at Great Scott. All in the fam.

Stream the Confessions EP via Soundcloud below, starting with the debut single, “I’ll Always Be Your Girl.” Pre-order is now open for the digital EP and the 12-inch vinyl.

The pill show will also serve as the debut live performance for Confessions. Comprised of vocalist/keyboardist Amanda Dellevigne (Night Fruit) and drummer/producer Alex Garcia-Rivera (American Nightmare/Cold Cave), Confessions feature two veterans of the Boston music scene coming together to create a warm sound of synthesized dream-pop and infectiously melodic electronic pop. Klangfuld of Denmark called the demo cut of first single “I’ll Always Be Your Girl” a “laid back declaration of eternal devotion with a cool straightforward charm.”

The Your Girl EP is summer fling music, hence the release date at the end of July. Of course, summer flings take shape in many ways, and aren’t just limited to one-on-one love affairs. They can involve hidden getaway destinations, a burning personal desire, or simply your new favorite band sound-tracking all your life’s impulsive moves. Summer is a magical, care-free time of beach mornings, afternoon bliss in the city, and midnight bonfires. Through it all, Confessions will always be your girl.
