Today would have been the 47th birthday of missing Manic Street Preachers guitarist Richey Edwards, who disappeared off the face of the Earth nearly 20 years ago. So it’s a bit odd to see Kanye West out and about over the weekend rocking a camouflage flight jacket with Edwards face on it.

‘Ye was with wife Kim Kardashian and the couple’s baby, North West, en route to a photoshoot at Chelsea Piers; “then to dinner at Cipriani in NYC,” says Splash.
Edwards’ “4 Real” photo was first used in fashion back in the early 2000s, when Belgian designer Raf Simons created an entire line around Edwards and the Manics.
We don’t know if this is a holdover from that collection, if ‘Ye was paying respects to the fallen Welsh rock star, or giving us a sign that Edwards is still out there — somewhere — set to return one day. Meanwhile, the Manics have announced a string of 2015 plans to commemorate the 20th anniversary of landmark record, The Holy Bible, and the timing couldn’t be better: Edwards’ will have been missing for exactly 20 years come February 1.
