After unofficially setting attendance records at City Hall Plaza last year, Boston Calling is now using records to promote its first festival of 2014. The fest’s organizers will unveil the lineup for the May 23 to 25 Boston Calling on Tuesday, but fans can get a sneak peek a day earlier by finding hidden vinyl placed around the city.
Ten vinyl records will be hidden around city “hotspots” between 8pm Monday and midnight.
According to the presser: “Boston Calling has designed ten vinyl records with the lineup scripted on the record and special edition 2014 artwork on the sleeve. Ten clues will be shared via Boston Calling’s Facebook and Twitter on Monday at 3:30pm as to where each of the records is hidden.”
Those who find the vinyl will not only know first who is playing Memorial Day weekend, but also score passes to the festival.
“The first participants to post a photo of any one of the 10 records to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the #bostoncalling will win a pair of three-day General Admission tickets to Boston Calling,” according to organizers. “Participants must find their vinyl and post a photo of it on social media with the #bostoncalling by 12pm Tuesday January 28, 2014. The contest is limited to 10 winners, one per record. Records are not redeemable for cash or for re-sale. The contest is in no way associated with or sponsored, administered or endorsed by Facebook.

Ticket Information: Boston Calling’s Pre-Sale for three day General Admission and VIP passes will open this Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 10AM EST online at www.bostoncalling.com, www.ticketmaster.com. General Admission 3-Day passes are $150 and VIP 3-Day passes are $250, a limited number of tickets are available at this price.
